2 groups of 12 light tubes, suspended and synchronized, form a composition of 24 tubes aligned so that the viewer perceives an X.

X explores the notion of vertical and horizontal symmetry: the 2 groups are symmetrical according to a vertical plane located on the intersection of the lines of the X. A pond of black water reflects an inverted and disordered network of lines. The light waves move through the tubes and thus underline this principle of symmetry until a brief moment of disobedience. Whether it is our vision reversed by our eye or the composition of the light we perceive, X reminds us that everything is only appearance by putting in relation water and light because water is also the material of diffraction.

2 groupes de 12 tubes lumineux, suspendus et synchronisés forment une composition de 24 tubes alignés de sorte que le spectateur perçoive un X.

X explore la notion de symétrie verticale et horizontale : les 2 groupes sont symétriques selon un plan vertical situé sur l’intersection des lignes du X. Un bassin d'eau noire réfléchit un réseau renversé et désordonné de lignes. Les ondes lumineuses se déplacent à travers les tubes et soulignent ainsi ce principe de symétrie jusqu’à un bref moment de désobéissance. Qu’il s’agisse de notre vision renversée par notre œil ou de la composition de la lumière que nous percevons, X rappelle que tout n’est qu’apparence en mettant en relation eau et lumière car l’eau est aussi le matériau de la diffraction.
